Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a fun day at our house! We spent the morning making sugar cookies for Santa...we even had some help from the Molina boys. ;) The boys were at our house the first time we made cookies, but weren't able to help us decorate them. I promised Jonah that he could help the next time I made them. He was more than happy to help on Christmas Eve!

The afternoon was absolutely beautiful! So beautiful that I was able to get out and run. I love the nice weather, but would have rather had some snow. I LOVE a white Christmas!

That evening we met J's family at our church, then headed to his parent's house for our Christmas celebration. The kids got lots of great gifts! Addy's favorite was a new iPod...she lost the one she got last Christmas! She has been listening to that thing non-stop since she got it! I'm not sure what E's favorite was...probably all of them. ;) The boy went a million miles an hour opening all his gifts! Hayden barely even noticed the presents. He was content playing with the toys he always plays with when he visits Papa & Grandma. I am guessing his feeling will change by the time next Christmas rolls around!

PRESENTS!
Addy bought her Daddy & Papa gifts at her school Gingerbread shop. She was so excited to give them their presents! ;)
Scarves...just what they always wanted!
Two things happened during the course of the evening which I feel should be recorded for future reference...

#1) Hayden fell all the way down the stairs. And by all the way, I mean all the way! It sounded horrible, but he seemed fine. I think it scared him more than anything! I'm pretty sure I would still be laying there if I had fallen as far as he did!

#2) At church, our preacher was talking about the plan of salvation. He kept saying things about "sin." Things like, "Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins." Addison was sitting with J's parents and according to them was listening very intently. Finally, she leaned over to Papa and said, "Who is this Sid guy anyway?" We all got a good laugh out of it! =)

When we got home, Addy and E each picked out a cookie they wanted to leave for Santa. It was so funny watching them choose their favorite! They wanted to make sure Santa was very happy with their selection...of course, he LOVED them both!
I love our Santa plate & mug!
I think they fell asleep seconds after their heads hit the pillow. They were both exhausted after a busy day. J and I had about 3 hours of work to do before Santa was able to visit our house. It was a long, but fun night at our house!
